Graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics with a minor in Food and Fiber Marketing and a Masters in Agribusiness with a minor in Marketing. Taught on the High School level for 16 years and Community College level for 7 years.

Married and have two handsome sons, Kendel age 15 and Kanin age 10.
