Principal's Message

Welcome to Madisonville High School!

The 2014-2015 school year is closing in on us.......I can't wait!!! At MHS, you will find one of the finest staffs in the state and students that will amaze you every day.

Our mission is to ensure that each student will learn to his or her maximum potential. I will do my very best to lead this high school in fulfilling our mission.

We are committed to providing great academic and extra curricular programs. Our goal is that each graduate will be able to use their education to meet any of their goals, whether it is college, trade school, the workforce or the military. It is also our goal that the experiences our students gain by attending MHS and participating in extra curricular programs will help prepare them for the challenges of life and provide them with wonderful childhood memories.

We will have a positive attitude everyday at work and will lead our students by example. We will treat each other with respect and will expect that from our students as well. Discipline is key to a successful school. We will provide a positive and pleasant environment and will enforce all policies in a consistent manner. I am sure there will be some bumps in the road, but we are prepared to work with each student to turn every situation into a learning experience.

I would like to thank the parents and community members for your support and allowing us to work with your children. We will do our best in educating our students by building strong relationships and providing great teaching strategies and programs. We are looking forward to a great 2014-2015 school year!

When a student is absent/truant...

Students need to provide documentation when returning to school following an absence. Unexcused absences lead to truancy charges being filed. Texas has an attendance law which requires students to be in attendance for 90% of the time in order to earn course credit.

Parking permits will be sold when students pick up their fall schedule. Students will need the following:
Proof of Insurance
Drivers License
Completed parking and drug testing forms with parent signature (see attached)
