Welcome to Madisonville High School!

I am Amanda Walters, a High School Counselor here at MHS! This is my 16th year in education, my 9th year as a Secondary School Counselor, and my 14th year with Madisonville CISD. I am proud to be a Mustang!

I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, where I also played softball. I later earned a Master of Education in Special Education with a Diagnostician certification, also from Sam Houston State. A few years after finishing my master’s degree, I earned my School Counseling certification.

I am a firm believer that ongoing communication between home and school can help ensure academic success. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you might have regarding your child and their academic career.
