Dual Credit Information
Madisonville HS offers dual credit classes for 11th & 12th grade students through Blinn College. Dual Credit allows students to earn high school and college credit for the same class. For our 11th graders, we offer dual credit US History, and for our 12th graders, we offer dual credit English and Government & Economics.
Dual Credit Eligibility & Enrollment Steps
Eligibility Requirements:
Students must meet Honors criteria to enroll in Dual Credit courses. Please refer to the Honors/Dual Credit Application for specific requirements. A completed copy of this form should be on file with your counselor.
Required Steps to Enroll:
1️⃣ Apply through ApplyTexas (use an email you check regularly). Madisonvillecisd is not an email for students.
2️⃣ Check your email for acceptance instructions to set up your myBLINN account.
3️⃣ Complete the Dual Credit Approval Form and submit it to Mrs. Walters in the Counselor’s Office.
4️⃣ Meet testing requirements for eligibility (PSAT, SAT, ACT, or TSIA) – see presentation for score details.
Important:
Make sure to reference the Dual Credit Admissions Checklist to ensure all steps have been completed for Dual Credit enrollment.
